People are morally permitted to do whatever they want with their money. Wealthy people are no different, so they can do whatever they want with their money. They don't have to donate it to poverty relief.

Money is usually governmentally controlled, for instance powerful countries with strong banking systems can freeze assets and lock people out of access to their funds. It isn't clear that "people are morally permitted to do whatever they want with their money."

This is not really a pro or a con, but I wanted to try shifting the claim a bit: perhaps we are not obligated to donate discretionary income, but we ARE responsible to identifying and transforming the systems and structures that have produced poverty.
