Selected claim, supporting its parent

All organizations have political biases that will affect what they deem to be true and false. This could lead to sites penalizing those with different views.

Pros

Cons

  • Pro claim 1, children below

Some political issues are a difference of viewpoint rather than facts. There can be legitimate disagreement over these issues, so companies deciding that one view is true and the other is false would be bad for dialog.

  • Pro claim 2, children below

It is not always clear what statements are outright false or simply "exaggerated" in politics. This could place non-mainstream views at a disadvantage.

  • Con claim 1, children below

Some things are objectively true or false, and not a question of bias. In these cases, it would be helpful to penalize people who spread objectively false informatoon.
