Selected claim, opposing its parent

War is not part of human nature.

Pros

Cons

  • Pro claim 1, children below

The way society has developed has forced humanity into wars, not human nature per se.

  • Pro claim 2, children below

There is little scientific proof that war is in our DNA. If we were genetically predisposed towards warfare, it would follow that close genetic relatives in other species—for example, higher primates—would have similar tendencies. This does not seem to be the case.

  • Con claim 1, children below

Humanity has been waging some type of war for all of recorded history.

  • Con claim 2, children below

Humans have a natural inclination towards violence.
